Well thank goodness that August is here cause I was trying to catch up for July and not spend too much to keep me on track with my budget. If you are new to my blog, click here to see how I got started seeking my fashion style. Of course it’s always evolving but for the most part, I feel at home with classic and simple styles. I figured out that I could pop my look with a fancy bag and interesting shoes!

Orchid Kitten Heels (similar style) (similar color) | Velvet Mules  (similar)| Preloved Gucci Mules

This month, I technically bought these 3 items along with some eyeliner. AND my brother came back from Paris so course I made him bring me the LV Cles and Gucci Belt-major heart eyes. Luckily I still had my luxury accessories budget otherwise I’d be well over my annual budget.  I did a major shoe purge (10 to be exact with a few more to be sold) below to help fund some investment shoes. I am currently eyeing some Dior Slingbacks, Dior Kitten Heels, or Valentino Flats. Decisions, decisions!

I still have the black wedge sandals (size 6.5) and silver flats (size 7)available  so let me know if you are interested :) Can you tell that I love Jcrew? Haha!

I get a box of jewelry from Rocksbox and obsessed with this current order. If you haven’t heard of Rocksbox, it’s a fun styling service ($21/month) that sends you gorgeous jewelry to try on and wear. If you love and want to keep any of the items, the $21 design fee credit goes towards the item. Pieces range from $40-$90 including Kendra Scott. If you love all 3 pieces, you get an extra $10 off the whole box! If you don’t love the jewelry enough to keep, you can wear them and return the box for a new set. Shipping both ways is included. Easy peasy! It is a really neat service as I need to up my jewelry game and they have trendy pieces and classic high quality pieces as well! Can you tell I like shoes? Haha. I got these pink rain boots (similar) for work as I go to construction sites and my old 12 year old boots started leaking. So of course my clients are going to love these pink babies! (probably not, but who cares-teehee) These boots don’t count towards my budget since they are for work, right?

Preloved Gucci Mules

Thoughts on what I bought:

  1. Velvet Mules (similar)–$5: I saw these Prada velvet mules last year and been drooling for them ever since. When I saw these from Cape Robbin, I jumped on them. I bought these from Ebay with $10 credit-the total was $15 and a steal!!
  2. Jcrew Dulci Heels-$42: These also came from Ebay preloved. They have very little wear on them and almost new. I loved my other kitten heels so much that I had to get the orchid ones when they popped up in my size.
  3. Gucci Mules$0: I know what you are thinking. Preloved shoes? Well we all know how many shoes we have in our closet than may have been worn once. These mules retailed for $500+ and got them for in great condition for $65 (I used some funds from my shoe sales). I am obsessed with Real, Real for preloved luxury goods. Check them out!!

Watermelon Tank | Ruffle Striped Skirt | Gucci Marmont-small (preloved size medium)

Hi lovelies! I was inspired to do a fun post today about styling from day to night! You know  I love to maximize my wardrobe! Since maintaining a budget is key to cultivating a classic timeless closet, I love the versatility of clothes for both day activities like running errands and casual work meetings or at night for a date night with my hubby or girls night out!   Simple and classic styles with a kick of color make things exciting! I truly believe in investing in shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories to really elevate an outfit and keep my clothing items more basic.

My day casual errand running outfit:

Fun Pom Pom mules | Ring | Necklace | Earrings

And changing my top and heels for dinner out! So easy! And perfect for summer!

Black Linen TopNude Heels | Ring | Necklace | Earrings

Investing in 14K gold jewelry is something that I’d rather spend my money as they are timeless pieces. And what girl doesn’t love diamonds? Major heart eyes! These pieces are so gorgeous yet simple enough to wear both during the day and in the evening. I know I can pass on these pretties to my daughter as well!

Hello lovelies!! Is it already almost June? Can’t believe the school year for the kiddos are almost over! My oldest gal will be in 2nd grader and little man will be in Pre-K next year (sniffles as they are growing so fast!) Anyway, May shopping is a little mixed with no theme whatever. I thought I could make it a month without a shoe purchase but you know that never happens :) I had a fun girls trip for a couple days to Panama City Beach and will be packing shortly for a family vacation in Punta Cana! Can’t wait!!!

Hello lovelies!! Last month obviously was a shoe festival, so of course I had to get back on the clothes train! As a lover of classic styles, I picked up a few items with a twist! Literally (insert laugh emoji)!!  I wanted a few breathable items for spring and summer and couldn’t resist a great sale on the tweed jacket. If you like blazers but feel weird in them as being too formal, lady jackets are your friends!!!

After looking at this post, I think I may have a shoe problem (#shoeaddict) ;0) I did buy a few bras too but didn’t think it would be exciting to show! Haha! Anyway, as you can see I bought a bunch of designer shoe dupes this month! I am a big fan of real leather shoes vs faux leather so I try to purchase higher quality real leather dupes if possible!

Gucci Marmont Bag

Hello everyone! February was a very slim month for the budget. I knew that I really had to recoup from January’s budget as I overspent then so had to pull in the reigns this month (sort of). It’s been a VERY trying month for me as I’ve been working on an RFP (Request for Proposal) for a large project and had to pull together a team of other firms to pursue this major project. We’ve been working days, nights, and weekends since January and I really WISH I had time to shop.  We had our big interview with the selections committee last week and hoping for some good news this week. Pick us please-fingers crossed.  Anyway back to fashion :)

Hello everyone!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and holiday! We took the kids on a cruise over Christmas and had a blast spending time together visiting Turks and Caicos, St. Kitts, St. Maarten, and San Juan! And of course Santa found us on the ship so the kids were just so ecstatic as they were worried he would go to our house in Georgia :)

Since December is all about giving, I didn’t buy too many things for myself but of course the deep sales lured me in for a few items! Haha! Hubby and I didn’t do presents either since we didn’t to spend it on the vacation but Santa did bring me something small :) See way below.

It’s that time of the year with all of the holiday festivities gearing up!  Thanksgiving is coming up and then we’ll be in full swing with Black Friday sales, holiday parties, office holiday parties, kids holiday parties and finally Christmas and New Years! It’s such a whirlwind of events but love to spend time with family and friends to reflect on the year and give thanks!

I have a pretty casual office environment so I love to get dressed up whenever I get a chance! My hubby likes to get dressed up too but is more casual in his picks. And an office party is the perfect time to pull out that fancy gear and celebrate! My hubby and I don’t have a regular date night since we have hectic schedules and 2 young kids so when we do, let’s say we are all giggles!!!

Instagram Roundup

Hi everyone! I’ve been busy posting like crazy on my newly opened Instagram account and never what a hashtag really meant until I started using them! But it’s been fun to instantly show pics on a daily basis so I wanted to share them here on the blog!

Love this light chambray on denim look and added in a cozy oatmeal sweater for a 2nd look! Mix and match fashion is what I love! So versatile!

And this military olive green field jacket is so amazing and kind of edgy with the standup collar. I have used this jacket pretty frequently as the color is just so versatile when mixing with any neutral outfit! Olive is the new black! Loving my LV Mono mini Pochette as well! It holds so much for such a small accessory bag and I keep my lipstick, lipgloss, and carmex chapstick for easy reach! I’ve also been known to stuff receipts in there too :)

img_2741

Hello chilly fall! Pulled out these bad boys and gray suede booties. Did I mention I am obsessed with booties (similar)? They are perfect to wear with skinny jeans!! I am thinking I need a gray matching bag, oui?

img_2878

I took the kids to a baby shower in Tybee Island (near Savannah, GA) and they had a blast on the beach playing in the sand. If you haven’t noticed that these sneaks are a fav of mine and seriously I thought they were sold out but found them for only $49. Someone grab it please before it sells out!

img_2932

You know I love a bargan and especially items for free. I signed up with Madewell and I turned out to be my birthday month and they sent me a $25 credit! Woah, that’s alot! So I searched their site and been dying to get a frilly, girly, furry keychain for my purses but haven’t pulled the trigger as they are a little expensive for the nicer quality ones. Well, Madewell to the rescue and got this and some low profile socks!

img_2954

And I’m actually in Boston for a entrepreneur business program this week and prepped some styles for the week. I am obsessed with navy and black together and combined with neutral colors galore! Blue is a neutral right :)

Outfit 1: Sweater, Vest, Pants, Heels (similar)

Outfit 2: Striped shirt, Navy Blazer, Gray Legging Pants, Navy Suede Heels

Outfit 3: Navy Blouse, Similar Scarf, Denim Legging Plants

And of course due to the frenzy of a crazy week, I forgot my contacts and Apple Watch-sigh! We’ll at least I have my glasses and killer heels to cheer me up! BTW, I think I’ve gotten more comments on how people love these heels! They are slightly taller than 3″ but super comfortable at least for sitting in class all day. Love the Isabelle Heel and they make them in so many colors each season!!
